Our StoryWe met in August of 2000 when Valerie, having quit her job not knowing what she wanted to do next, ended up working at the company where Tyler had been working for almost 3 years. That October we had our first date (Tyler asked Valerie out by means of a very cute email!). One month, three dates, and one sneaker fiasco later we were hooked! We now share a home in Hillsborough, NC with "our sister" Cheryl and all of our pets -- Maddie, Kitty, Gromit, The Fishes, The Hermit Crabs and one mysterious bivalve of unknown origin.
Our Wedding DateWe chose April 30th as our wedding date in honor of Valerie's Grammie and Papa, who were married on April 30th 1942 Grammie's parents were also married on April 30th -- in 1918 Grammie is still very much a part of our lives and will speak about the three weddings during our ceremony. Papa is no longer with us, but is still able to be a part of the ceremony. Valerie will carry his wedding band in her bouquet as her very special something old.
